Drop-off and Pick-up Information

Drop-off and Pick-up at the Cayuga Nature Center Lodge:

The Cayuga Nature Center is located at 1420 Taughannock Blvd., Ithaca, NY 14850.

Please enter the Lodge through the camp entrance to the left of the main entryway. All parents must always check-in with staff at the camp office window before dropping-off or picking-up a camper.

  • Camper check-in is between 8:30-9:30 am. Please arrive no later than 9:15 am on Mondays as staff will need to check that the proper paperwork, including insurance and immunization information, are on file for your camper. These can be submitted anytime through your online account (log-in here).
  • Pick-up is between 4-5 pm. Please notify our camp office to arrange early pick-ups (any pick-up before 3:45pm) so that we can assure your camper is ready and waiting at the time of your arrival. Pick-ups after 5 pm may incur a late pick-up fee (see Finance Policy page).

Drop-off and Pick-up for TCAT bus service at Boynton Middle School:

  • Please arrive no later than 8:20 am* to check-in your camper with our bus staff. As our staff will be occupied signing-in other campers and answering any questions, we ask that you please wait with your camper until the bus arrives at the middle school.
  • The bus will arrive at 4:55* and any pick-ups after 5:10 pm may incur a late pick-up fee (see Finance Policy page).

*based on TCAT Route 22 schedules from summers 2015-2016. We will notify our bus parents of any time changes after the route schedule is published by TCAT in the spring. As the TCAT is a public transportation system, arrival and departure times may vary slightly. We will notify parents by phone in the event of a significant delay at pick-up time.

Please note that we will be holding camp during our regular hours on July 4th, however, the TCAT bus service will not be available this day or during the last two weeks of our camp, after August 20th, 2018.

Password Policy

Our password system is used to ensure our campers safety at time of pick-up and is an optional program available to all families.  Parents and caregivers may choose to set a pick-up password at time of registration, which staff will request of anyone we do not yet recognize as a parent, caregiver, or authorized adult. We encourage parents using this system to inform any adult picking-up the camper of the password. If the adult is not aware of the password, staff may ask for a photo ID to check if the adult is listed as a primary, secondary, or emergency contact for the camper. Additionally, when setting up your campers password, you may authorize additional adults such as babysitters or extended family members to be cleared in this manner. In the event that an adult is not aware of the password, and is not listed as an authorized adult, our staff will contact a parent or caregiver before a pick-up is allowed.
